MOVEMENT’S SECRET
Underlying every action in your life is Movement. Directing the underlying language of every movement is your Posture. Simple tasks like bending down to look at something majestic, holding your loved ones and caring for your most precious gifts, or even challenging your body to perform above and beyond anything you have challenged it to do before - your movement and posture determine how you will experience life.
Your movements are as unique to you, as they are to your child or your best friend. You can recognize them by the way they walk, stand, or even just sit down. Why? Because your movement is unique to your posture, and healthy posture lead to healthy movement, and a healthier life.
So why do children often walk or sit like their parents or siblings. This is partly learned through observation and partly because they often have the same basic skeletal frame as our parent. As you age, you change how you stand, walk, and act in accordance with your mood or an image you want to project. If you feel sad you slump and if you feel strong you stand tall. The injuries you have sustained from the sports you played to the games you played sledding or riding your bike, these all impact how you move - and is what makes your personal posture unique. It is these postural changes that over time lead to abnormal wear and tear and further injury, pain, discomfort, and the need to work harder and harder to stay healthy. Wouldn’t it be great if someone understood how you were meant to move, how your posture was designed to help you discover and enjoy life more fully? Well, you’re in luck, as a Chiropractic Physician, that’s what Dr. Moses, D.C. has developed over the past 25 years.
