MOVEMENT’S SECRET
Underlying every action in your life is Movement. Directing the underlying language of every movement is your Posture. Simple tasks like bending down to look at something majestic, holding your loved ones and caring for your most precious gifts, or even challenging your body to perform above and beyond anything you have challenged it to do before - your movement and posture determine how you will experience life.
Your movements are as unique to you, as they are to your child or your best friend. You can recognize them by the way they walk, stand, or even just sit down. Why? Because your movement is unique to your posture, and healthy posture lead to healthy movement, and a healthier life.
So why do children often walk or sit like their parents or siblings. This is partly learned through observation and partly because they often have the same basic skeletal frame as our parent. As you age, you change how you stand, walk, and act in accordance with your mood or an image you want to project. If you feel sad you slump and if you feel strong you stand tall. The injuries you have sustained from the sports you played to the games you played sledding or riding your bike, these all impact how you move - and is what makes your personal posture unique. It is these postural changes that over time lead to abnormal wear and tear and further injury, pain, discomfort, and the need to work harder and harder to stay healthy. Wouldn’t it be great if someone understood how you were meant to move, how your posture was designed to help you discover and enjoy life more fully? Well, you’re in luck, as a Chiropractic Physician, that’s what Dr. Moses, D.C. has developed over the past 25 years.

MOVEMENT’S ROLE
So what do you do when things aren’t working the way you want? For many, they just hope things will get better if they just keep pushing forward. They may try to ignore or cover the pain with topical or oral medications and therapy. They may even see a personal trainer, physical or massage therapist to try to strengthen or stretch tight or weak muscles. And for many, this will help for a while. But let’s be honest, something isn’t working right, and if we don’t discover what - the disfunction or pain will return, or still yet, get worse.
There is a better option - discovering how to achieve the ideal Posture, Balance, and Movement patterns for you. Your unique history has created your unique issues, and understanding the intricate interactions requires the knowledge of a doctor, the skill of a master body worker, and the compassion and care of someone who understands pain and dysfunction.
Why Choose Dr Moses
Over the past 25 years, Dr. Moses has incorporated a blend of massage, body work, breath coaching, low force chiropractic, myofascial therapy, and home self care tools and techniques to help people achieve better movement, better feeling, and better joy in their day to day lives. For this reason, he has gained the nickname - “The Massage Doc”. Unlike many specialist that are spending fifteen to twenty minutes looking to see how they can provide a single therapy to your localized problem, Dr Moses generally starts with a customized therapeutic and evaluatory session geared to helping discover and reduce simple distortions that can appear to be postural dysfunctions. Once these distortions are removed, he is then able to schedule a more detailed postural and movement assessment that can last between an hour to and hour and a half. During this time Dr. Moses will evaluate, test, treat, and re-test your entire posture systems to see what combination of therapies are going to be key to helping your posture improve, so your movement and overall health improves.
Why spend this amount of time on the whole body, when most providers focus only on treatments to a single or chief area of complaint? Simple - everything is connected, and the area of discomfort or dysfunction on your body is most likely not the underlying problem, but the area of fatigue and collapse when you could no longer figure out how to compensate and adapt. By focusing on the whole person, Dr Moses can help you uncover hidden movement and posture dysfunctions, that when resolved - allow you to perform at a higher level, and begin the journey of helping you transition to self care and supportive care to help maintain that improvement, and continue to become stronger and healthier.
